Accommodations and Dining in Carmel Valley
Stonepine, A Private Estate Experience
From the moment you enter Stonepine’s gate and you leave the world behind, the magic and mystique of this place embraces you. With the renowned beauty of California’s Monterey Peninsula and Carmel Valley as its setting, Stonepine’s four hundred plus acres are breathtaking to behold. As you approach the main house on a lane lined by towering pines and oaks, Chateau Noel comes into view and you begin to sense the history of this architectural jewel and the golden era in which it was lovingly created. Stonepine is unique and excels at providing fine accommodations, gourmet dining, weddings and special events. Stonepine’s gracious owners, Gordon and Noel Hentschel, look forward to sharing it with you in the near future.
Images of America’s Wild West and thoroughbred horse racing are foremost in your mind as you experience Stonepine’s Double H Ranch B&B. Whether in an equestrian setting, in a classic cottage, or in a celebrity house, it is a great way to experience Stonepine Estate. The accommodations at Paddock House (rooms), Briar Rose Cottage, and Hermes House offer a range of styles. Its proud and illustrious history dates back to the 1930’s when the ranch was the only thoroughbred racing farm west of the Mississippi. An active outdoors lifestyle of hiking and biking are also enjoyed here. The Double H Ranch Country Grille completes the picture with delicious, western-style fare seasonally from May through October.
Carmel Valley is blessed with a sunny, temperate climate. With gentle winters and summer temperatures that seldom exceed eighty-five degrees, it is a natural environment to experience Stonepine’s gardens, meadows, and forests.
