Amidst the sprawling beauty of Monterey County’s private Stonepine estate, Chateau Noel played host to an unforgettable evening where culinary artistry and music converged in a symphony of taste and sound.

Transformation at Chateau Noel

As April brought Spring blooms and lush landscapes, Chateau Noel’s living room was transformed into a gorgeous dining room. The luxury Monterey area venue looked stunning with a series of round dining tables draped in floral tablecloths and flower arrangements of spring colors, complementing the classic sophistication of the room. With just 21 guests in attendance, the event had an intimate atmosphere with a grand backdrop of historic architecture and timeless elegance. The original carved stone fireplace, large enough for most patrons to stand in added a unique grandeur to the space. Eleven foot tall arched windows and French doors surrounded the seating area, allowing the nighttime landscape to pour into the room.

A Culinary Overture

The centerpiece of the evening was a "Music-paired" dinner, meticulously crafted by the collaboration of a talented musician and a masterful chef. The performers, Sunkiss'd Mozart, presented their concert in a style akin to an "omakase" dinner at a sushi restaurant. Just as omakase implies "I'll leave it up to you," allowing diners to experience the chef’s best technical and artistic skills with the freshest ingredients of the day, Sunkiss'd Mozart curated their music for the exact moment and place, offering a fresh and unique repertoire. 

A cellist, violinist, and pianist played the music for the evening, creating an immersive experience that delighted the palate and stirred the soul. From the delicate interplay of sweets and spices to the crescendo of flavors, every bite was delectable, perfectly complemented by the music that filled the air.

The intimate setting of Chateau Noel was ideal for this chamber music experience, reminiscent of how chamber music was originally intended to be shared among friends at home.
